Description: Slightly over-hanging hinged and molded lid opening to upper interior space. Full length drawer below. Molded and shaped base skirt creating bracket feet. Inlaid escutcheon to lock (no key). Dovetailed and nailed construction.
Materials: Quartersawed Oak. Yellow pine secondary. Bone or ivory drawer pulls.
Dimensions: Height: 9-1/4". Width: 14". Depth: 9-1/2".
Locality and Period: New England. c. Late 18th century.
Comments: Wonderful diminutive chest that would make a unique jewelry or trinket box.
